Vicalex was first conceptualized in the late 60’s by Dr. Alexander Atta Yaw Kyerematen – Founder of the Ghana National Cultural Center – and his wife Victoria Ama Amissa (nee Welsing). The children inspired by their parents’ efforts took up the mantle and in the early 80’s started producing burnt bricks alongside their pottery establishment at Mfensi (Kumasi), albeit on a small scale. After consistently producing 500,000 bricks per annum for over five years, Vicalex increased its capacity to meet the growing demand in the early 2000s. Integrating technology into its operations, accelerated output, enhancing the capacity to better cater to client needs. Today, Vicalex is the national leader in clay brick production. We are proud of our journey thus far and what we have been able to achieve for our cherished clients some of which includes the Coconut Grove Hotel, The First National Bank (GN Bank) Villa Victoria, Ghana Police Service and home owners in Accra, Kumasi and Kwahu. Vicalex is in a continous state of evolution, actively pursuing the development of it's staff, products and services through the use of market research, skills development programms, technology and customer feedback.
